keeping with an old world flavor of design I have chosen for my home, I am set on having marble floor tiles in my kitchen and bathroom. I would like to have similar tiles installed in my front entry as well.
This may take a lot
of willpower. Marble floor tiles are not the most inexpensive option for homeowners, but I am convinced that it is the best. The stones have endured as a staple for quality construction and design, gracing homes and court yards for
centuries. I like the idea of bringing the rich element to my small, cottage home. The contrast between the rustic nature of the house and the old world elegance of the marble floor tiles is very appealing to me.
The trick is to
get me to wait. There are cheaper options that can mimic the general look of marble floor tiles, but none that have the quality that I am determined to add to my home. I consider the more expensive flooring to be an investment. It will only
increase the value of our home in the long run. I just have to live with my horrific vinyl floors for another year or so.
We could afford to put in new flooring right away if I chose to go a cheaper route, but I really believe
that waiting will pay off in the end. Marble floor tiles are not only appealing to the eye, but they are also appealing to our general health. The dense surface of the tiles do not have pores that capture allergy-inducing irritants.
The surface is also very easy to clean. Marble floor tiles can be quickly washed in one sweep. The flooring requires little maintenance and it is naturally shiny and beautiful. The surface is also treated easily with
disinfectants that work best on hard surfaces. I would feel better having the sanitary marble floor tiles as opposed to wood floors in my kitchen and bath area. I also like the idea of using the tiles in my entry way because this area is
often filled with dirt and germs as people enter and exit.
Marble floor tiles not only serve to beautify your home they also function as high-quality additions that improve your home's health as well. They are worth the investment and they are worth the wait.
